Mrs. McCarty has been a resident of Tom Bean for over 15 years. She spent eleven years teaching in the middle school classroom before transitioning into administration. She has served as the Director of Curriculum & Instruction and the District Testing Coordinator for five years and a campus principal for nine years. Mrs. McCarty’s academic background includes a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Southeastern Oklahoma State University, Master of Education in Educational Administration from Texas A&M University-Commerce, and a superintendent certification from the Bill Ratliff Superintendent Academy. She is currently working on her Doctorate of Education in Educational Administration at Texas A&M University-Commerce.

Mrs. McCarty resides in Tom Bean with her husband, Kevin, and her daughter, Libby. Mrs. McCarty's son, Kade, is proudly serving our country as a sailor in the United States Navy.
