Kelly Lusk, Superintendent

My name is Kelly Lusk and I have served as a superintendent since 2013. I started my career in education in the fall of 1990, coaching baseball at the junior college level. Beginning in 1992, I taught 7th, 8th, 10th and 11th grade Texas History, American History, Western Civilization and Gifted/Talented. I served as an elementary principal, junior high principal and high school principal from 1999 until 2013. I also served the Redwater district in various other capacities while a principal, including coaching cross country and serving as transportation director. Before my arrival in Tom Bean I served Farwell ISD, located in the Panhandle, as their superintendent for 4 years.

My wife Schelli, Tom Bean Elementary PE Coach, and I have four children and three grandchildren. Andrew graduated from Stephen F. Austin University (Go Lumberjacks!) with a degree in History and received his Masters degree from the University of Dallas. He currently teaches Art at W.T. White High School in Dallas ISD.  Mathew is a former Chaparral, having graduated from Lubbock Christian University with a degree in Mathematics.  After a summer of playing minor league baseball, he returned to Texas Tech and received his second degree, this one in Civil Engineering.  He is currently employed with Kiewit Engineering in Irving, Tx.  He and his wife, Cassie, are the proud parents of identical twins, Archie and Jet.  Kaitlin Marie (Lusk) Martinez is a member of the US Army and is stationed in Honolulu, Hawaii with her husband, Eduardo.  They have one son, Little Eddie.  Please pray for their safety and success. Zachary is a Tom Bean Tomcat Class of 2020 graduate.  He currently attends Grayson College in Sherman, Texas.
I truly love spending time with young people and the educators that guide them. My goal is to make a positive difference in the life of your child. I am here to serve this community. Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions.
