Yes. All TBISDPD Officers are licensed peace officers. They are certified by the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement.

Yes. Outside extra jobs go through an administrative review and departmental approval process. You may frequently see a TBISD Police Officer in a TBISD uniform working events outside our primary jurisdiction such as traffic control, community events, churches, restaurants, movie theaters, and sporting events.

Yes. TBISD PD officers are authorized to issue traffic citations and enforce traffic laws on and off school property.

Tickets issued by TBISD Police Officers are adjudicated in the City of Tom Bean Municipal Court.

If you do not appear in court or pay your fine, the court may issue a warrant for your arrest. Any police officer may arrest you once the warrant is issued.

Yes. They have the authority to make arrests both on and off campus.
